Romanian carrier DAN AIR has announced a significant expansion of its route network, unveiling four new direct destinations set to launch on July 1, 2026. The move signals the airline’s growing ambitions to strengthen connectivity between Europe, the Middle East, and the Caucasus.
Passengers will soon be able to fly directly from Bucharest to:
Amman, Jordan
Yerevan, Armenia
Tbilisi, Georgia
Aleppo, Syria
Among these, the Aleppo route stands out as a strategic milestone. With this addition, DAN AIR will become the only airline in the European Union operating flights to two Syrian cities Aleppo and Damascus marking a unique presence in the region.
The expansion reflects increasing demand for direct air links between Europe and emerging markets in the Middle East and the Caucasus. The airline highlighted the importance of serving diaspora communities and improving access to destinations that have historically been underserved by direct routes.
