Flight Directors are seeking to work with interested Tour operators who may already feature Bhutan in their programme or ones who would like the opportunity to help travellers explore this fascinating country.

Druk Air Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Tandi Wangchuk said, “The reopening of the country on September 23 was a much-awaited event, which has reignited our hopes for quick economic recovery, as tourism is one of the major economic sectors that contribute significantly to Bhutan’s socio- economic development.

On our part, we arranged additional flights from all major hubs to welcome the tourists to Bhutan after a gap of over two years. As we move forward into 2023, not only are we preparing ourselves to welcome more tourists but also seeking to strive to improve our service to give better experience to our guests.”

Under the new tourism policy, UK tourists travelling to Bhutan can apply for entry permits directly on the online portal of the Tourism Council of Bhutan at https://visit.doi.gov.bt/.
