Our Journey with Garuda Indonesia
Flight Directors has had an ongoing relationship with Garuda Indonesia since 2002 when we started working as their call centre whilst they operated a London service. In 2004 this became a GSA contract on the closure of the London office and cessation of services into Heathrow. During this time Flight Directors maintained the relationships with the UK trade and built up revenues to bring Garuda Indonesia back into the UK market. In 2013, Garuda Indonesia introduced a direct service to Jakarta and opened their own sales office. Flight Directors was maintained as their call centre and reservations centre during this time adhering to strict policies and procedures, until closure of the London route in February and the office in June 2020.
Our Journey with Air Astana
Air Astana is the national carrier of Kazakhstan and Flight Directors was appointed as GSA in Aug 2019. The flag carrier of Kazakhstan, has been recognized for 4 Star service excellence, retaining the accolade of "Best Airline in Central Asia and India" in the Skytrax World Airline Awards for the eighth consecutive year and “Travelers Choice for Regional Airlines in Asia” category for the third consecutive year by TripAdvisor. We have successfully grown both corporate and leisure traffic to Central Asia via their hubs in Nur-Sultan and Almaty. We are delighted to represent the airline and Central Asia with their unique Nomad Culture.
Our Journey with Air Niugini
Air Niugini is the national carrier of Papua New Guinea (PNG) and Flight Directors was appointed in 2004 as GSA. This is an offline contract, and the destination was not very well known in the market. Through hard work and targeted market sector promotions, the UK has now nominated PNG as one of the most desirable adventure tourism destinations in the world! From a starting base of zero traffic and revenue when we took over the contract, we have now built this up to over £2 million ticketed revenue a year from the UK market.

Flight Directors has been established for 32 years and has consistently undergone strategic change to match the demands of a dynamic market. One constant throughout its lifetime has been a closeness to the needs of the international airline community andthe national travel trade.
We naturally adopt a long term view of relationship building, but also have the corporate flexibility to recognise, embrace and adopt new technology and business models as they emerge.
We have supported a number of international airlines from low-cost and regional airlines to large flag carriers. Our level of service has ranged from call-centre support to outsourced reservations.
